Collaboration

Partnership: Partnerships share, develop and leverage multi-agency and -disciplinary expertise and resources in order to more effectively identify and address human trafficking cases and victims, perform investigations and services, hold perpetrators accountable and empower survivors.

Prevention: Activities and resources intended to reduce and eliminate the potential for victimization in vulnerable populations and of at-risk persons. Prevention is a cornerstone component of any anti-human trafficking effort.

Protection: Empower victim-survivors through restoration of their personal dignity by meeting each victim-survivor where they are at, not where we want them to be, accepting survivorship as a process we shepherd and facilitate and that it is theirs to accept and make happen.

Prosecute: It is imperative to hold perpetrators accountable for their violations of human rights. Emphasize the priority of victim-centered, trauma-informed investigations and consider criminal, civil and administrative cases as successful outcomes.

Policy: Effective policies support and sustain anti-human trafficking efforts by promoting human rights. Policies should reinforce access to the resources and opportunities for all persons and communities to thrive safely, provide compensation for victimization, hold perpetrator’s accountable for their criminal, civil and administrative violations and support multi-agency partnerships.
